BACK

This self drive trip gives you the opportunity to discover the Icelandic nature during the winter and also the Icelandic sagas. You spend two nights at a luxury four star country hotel in South Iceland. There you can try to spot the amazing Norhtern Lights (Aurora Borealis) while you relax in an outdoor Jacuzzi after experiencing the great nature of the south coast during the day. In Reykjavik you will stay at a beautiful hotel in the city center.

Itinerary:

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Individual flight to Reykjavík. At the airport you pick up your rental car and drive along the coast to the 4* Hotel Ranga, where accommodation is reserved for two nights.

DAY 2: THINGVELLIR - GULLFOSS-GEYSIR - SKÁLHOLT

Drive up to Thingvellir, where the world’s oldest parliament was set up in around 930 AD. Thingvellir is on the World Heritage List, first published by UNESCO in 1972. From there you drive to Kerid, which is thought to be around 3,000 years old. Continuing on to Gullfoss and Geysir, you’ll have chance to visit one of the most remarkable tourist attractions in Iceland. On the way back you might want to stop at Skálholt.
