Why not spend Christmas holiday in Iceland? Experience the real Christmas feeling in Reykjavik, which is lit up with thousands and thousands of Christmas lights. After a walk through the old town of Reykjavik, a swim in the Blue Lagoon and the Golden Circle excursion you will get right into that “Christmas spirit“.
Itinerary:
22 DEC: ARRIVAL
Individual flight from the UK to Iceland (not included, check flight information. Transfer to your hotel in Reykjavik. In the afternoon and evening you can go shopping in the centre of Reykjavik, where all the shops are open until 10 pm!23 DEC: GOLDEN CIRCLE TOUR
After breakfast you will have the opportunity to do the Golden Circle tour, taking in the natural highlights of the south of Iceland: Kerid - a huge volcanic crater turned lake: Gullfoss - Iceland‘s most famous and picturesque waterfall; Geysir - world-famous geothermal area, Thingvellir - a National Park of great beauty and historic interest.
24 DEC: BLUE LAGOON EXCURSION
Definitely not to be missed during your Iceland adventure: Enjoy a peaceful, tranquil and romantic evening at the Blue Lagoon, in another world where lava and thermal water complement each other. The effect is even more stunning in winter than in summer due to the unbelievable contrast of hot and cold, light and darkness.
Traditionally, Christmas starts at 6 pm in Iceland where an authentic Christmas buffet awaits you in the hotel restaurant.
25 DEC: CHRISTMAS DAY
On Christmas day you can either enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in Reykjavik with a sightseeing walk around the old town, or simply stay in bed and read a good book like the rest of the Icelanders!26 DEC: DEPARTURE
After breakfast you will take the Fly Bus from your hotel to the airport. Flight back home (not included)
