On this excursion we will see moon-like lava fields, geothermal areas and the the beautiful coast of Reykjanes.
Good to know:
The Reykjanes peninsula near to Reykjavik belongs to one of the most volcanic areas in Iceland. Earthquakes are frequent, there are boiling fumaroles, volcanoes are rising, and an eruption is expected just any day. So, only a half day excursion should be safe...
This tour is quite varying due to conditions each day, but the highlights are: Hafnarfjördur village, Kleifarvatn lake and Krisuvik geothermal area. And depending on conditions we will either detect the sea cliffs at the west part, or the Hengill volcano at the east part of the Reykjanes peninsula.
