Food Walk and beer tasting

Icelandic Lamb meat soup

On this tour, the guide will not just provide you with delicious food, but you will get a guided tour through the city. On your way through the charming city, you will stop at several restaurants that serve traditional and excellent dishes from the Icelandic kitchen.
This tour takes about 4 hours, and it is a great way to get to know the city and you'll see where all the good restaurants are located. The guide takes you to six different restaurants and you will have the opportunity to sample 2-3 tastings at each restaurant.
The restaurants will give you traditional Icelandic food; Skyr, homemade ice cream, hot dogs, seafood and lamb. If you're brave enough you can taste some of the other "specialities" of the Icelandic kitchen; such as fermented shark, goat testicles and sheep heads.
A great part of Iceland's culture and history is the way we prepare and cook the food, and the guide will tell you all about the unique methods we have used over the years. This is truly a delicious way to experience Iceland, and we highly recommend this tour.

Golden Circle and Fridheimar

Geyser

This day tour will take you to the mystical hot springs in the geyser area, Gullfoss and Thingvellir. The tour's first stop is the national park Thingvellir. This is the place where the world's first national parliament was founded. It was established in 930 AD and sessions were held in the area until 1798. This beautiful place is situated on the American and European continental ridge which makes this a very special place. The second stop for the day is the spectacular Gullfoss. A thundering waterfall that appears out of nowhere. It is an impressive two-step waterfall, and due to its natural surroundings, you can get up close to it, if you dare to. Be cautious when walking around, the ground may be slippery. The third stop is the truly impressive geyser. It is unique and powerful. The geyser blows boiling hot water 22-33 yards up in the air every 5-10 minutes. Keep your camera ready, and be mindful of the direction of the wind.

Fridheimar is a greenhouse and a restaurant, standing as the largest greenhouse in Iceland. Here the participants will learn how to grow perfect, natural tomatoes with the help of geothermal heat. Fridheimar relies solely on Icelandic water and gets help from over 600 bumblebees to pollinate the tomatoes.
