Upon your arrival at the airport, the driver will wait for you for your transfer from the airport to Hotel Grimsborgir, with a stop at the famous Blue Lagoon on the way. Spend the evening at the hotel, either relaxing in the geothermal hot tub to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights or in the lounge area.
Today your private driver will take you to visit the famous sights on the Golden Circle route. On the Golden Circle Gullfoss-Geysir tour, you can walk around the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode and pools of mud bubble. One of the Golden Circle’s many highlights is the Gullfoss waterfall, the queen of Iceland‘s waterfalls. The tour ends with the no less spectacular Thingvellir National Park. This is the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. The Great Atlantic Rift is clearly visible, a rift that is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates.
