THE GOLDEN CIRCLE AND THE SECRET LAGOON
This excursions takes you to the most popular sights in Iceland and the secret lagoon.
The tours first stop is in the national park Þingvellir. This is the place where the worlds first national parliament was founded. It was established in 930 AD. Until 1798 sessions where held in this area. This beautiful place is situated on the American and European continental ridge, and it makes this a very special place.
The second stop for the day is the spectacular Gullfoss. A thundering waterfall that appears out of nowhere. It is an impressive two-step waterfall, and due to its natural surroundings you can get up really close to it, if you dare to. Be causious when walking around, the ground may be slippery.
The third stop is the truly impressive Geysir. It is unique and powerfull. The geysir blows boiling hot water 20 - 30 meters up in the air every 5-10 minutes. Have your cameras ready, and beware of the direction of the wind.
The Secret Lagoon is a less visited out door pool. It is naturally heated and a much more authentic experience of the Icelandic "Heitur Pottur". The water might not be as blue as others, but it is still very impressive.
