Today we get to enjoy the unique sights of the Westfjords. one of Iceland's most peaceful and beautiful places. We have a walk along Raudisandur beach with it's red sands and black cliffs. The sand shifts in color from golden to orange and red depending on the daylight. In Raudisandur beach you may see seals, arctic skuas and arctic foxes. Afterwards we visit the quirky folk museum in Hnjotur and Latrabjarg, Europe’s largest bird cliff and Iceland's westernmost point.  You will now get to see the most remarkable wildlife sight, the awe-inspiring cliffs are home to a number of sea birds, puffins, razorbills, guillemots and gulls. The birds are fearless which gives you an opportunity for some close-up photos. Overnight stay in Breiðavik/Patreksfjordur for the next 2 nights.

Bildudalur - Isafjordur

Dynjandi waterfall

We travel along the dramatic coastline towards Isafjordur the principal town of the Westfjords. The town has an old centre, filled with history and cultural heritage.  The town is surrounded by mountains and has a thriving harbour.  We stop at the stunning Waterfall Dynjandi, sometimes nicknamed "the brides veil". The Waterfall consists of a collection of seven cascades. You will then be able to take a dip in an outdoor thermal hot spring along with some Icelandic refreshments at Hrafnseyri.

The day starts with a boat ride across Ísafjarðardjúp in the morning. This is the largest fjord in the Westfjords with steep mountains all around.
