Since its opening in 2011, the musicians of Pearls of Icelandic song have been part of the summer programme at Harpa Concert Hall. Under the artistic direction of one of Iceland's leading classical singers, Bjarn Thor Kristinsson, the singers present a selection of classical Icelandic songs and folk music about elves, spirits and much more. They also tell the stories behind the songs and their composers.

The songs are sung in Icelandic, but will be accompanied by English commentary to make it easier for foreign guests to get acquainted with Icelandic music.

Tickets can be purchased on the Harpa website

Another event tip is the organ concerts in the Hallgrimskirjka programme. Various musicians from all over the world enchant visitors with fantastic organ music at a series of concerts.
