The Icelandic government and the Icelandic Health Authorities announced that the borders to Iceland will be opened again, with some restrictions on June 15th, for tourists coming to Iceland. 

The restrictions are:

Tourist can take a Covid-19 quick test at the airport and the results will be ready within 6-12 hours. This means that people would have to stay the first night in their hotel or accommodation until the results are ready. If the results are negative, people can travel without further official restrictions.
OR: Tourists can bring an official statement from the local authorities of their country, confirming that they are not infected with the Coronavirus.

OR: Tourists will be quarantined for 14 days.

Furthermore, all tourists are requested to download the official Covid-19 tracing app "Rakning C-19" on their mobile phone, in order to trace all people/areas they have been in contact with, if they catch the virus in Iceland. All data will be deleted before they leave the country again.

Booking information:

All trips up to and including June 14, 2020 will be rebooked free of charge by Iceland ProTravel. We will get in touch with all customers in the coming days.

For new bookings made between March 8 and April 30, 2020, with departure before October 31, 2020, you can cancel or rebook your trip free of charge up to 45 days before departure.

Applies to:

- new bookings made up to and including April 30, 2020
- all round trips with departure until Oct. 31, 2020
